Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course the successful delegate will :
- Understand how IT Service Management facilitates the aligning of IT to the business
- Understand ITIL® IT Service Management sufficiently to be able to develop, implement and manage IT services in an organisation
- Understand the Service Support and Service Delivery processes, their inter-relationships and the added value this provides to an organisation
- Understand the relationship between the service suppliers and their customers
- Understand and be able to define the key processes, procedures, roles and responsibilities in each of the processes
- Be able to draft a business justification for each discipline using relevant cost versus benefit elements.
Duration & Certification
Service Delivery and Service Support are each five days in length. The completion of these two courses and passing the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management enables learners to sit the examinations for the Managers Certificate in IT Service Management. This examination is case study based and consists of two 3-hour papers.
